A seminarian who died in 1920 before he could fulfill his dream of becoming a priest is being proposed by Bishop Walter F. Sullivan for canonization as the first Roman Catholic saint from the Diocese of Richmond.
Francis J. ``Frank'' Parater, who died of rheumatic fever at the age of 22 at a seminary in Rome, is far from a household name in the diocese, Sullivan acknowledged on Thursday. ``The vast majority of people have never even heard of him,'' he said.
