BG&E GIVEN OK TO PROCEED WITH RESTART OF CALVERT CLIFFS UNIT ONE
BALTIMORE, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. (NYSE: BGE) today announced that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has given its official concurrence to restart Unit One of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.
In a letter to BG&E, the NRC said "the licensee is ready in all respects, to restart and operate Calvert Cliffs Unit One." The NRC also noted that there have been significant improvements in all areas of Calvert Cliffs' operations.
