The U.S. Department of State has allocated $40 million for humanitarian demining programs worldwide in Fiscal Year 2002.
This is part of nearly $100 million that will be spent by all U.S. Government agencies on humanitarian mine action this fiscal year.
The State Department funding will be used to clear landmines and provide related support in 36 mine-affected countries and the provinces of Kosovo and Northwest Somalia. These 38 mine action ...
