BEIJING, Feb 25 Asia Pulse - The National Tourism Administration (NTA) recently disclosed that China will permit up to three large international travel agencies to operate in China independently, to hold shares of Chinese travel agencies, and set up branches.

This is the prelude to the opening of Chinas tourism market.

According to China's commitment to the WTO, the country will allow foreign travel agencies to control shares of Chinese travel agencies before 2003 and permit foreign travel agencies to operate in China independently before December 31, ...
