LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Hand transplant recipients Matt Scott and Jerry Fisher are part of an elite group, but doctors who performed the landmark surgeries thought the group would have grown over the last three years.
Scott and Fisher were at Jewish Hospital in Louisville Friday to discuss the progress they've made since surgeons replaced their prostheses with human hands.
Scott, who marked his third anniversary with his hand Jan. 24, said his transplant is rarely an issue in his everyday life.
