The "naughty" love letters of one of Canada's respected historical figures have just been published on the Web site of Calgary's Glenbow Museum. Colonel James Farquharson Macleod's letters to his wife, Mary, would never have seen the light of day, however, if the decision had been up to their daughter, Jane Bell. "Granny Bell was extremely reluctant to put the letters into the public record because of the sensibilities of that generation," reports Col. Macleod's great-grandson, Toby Lawrence.
