The Corcoran High School Gospel Choir runs mostly on student devotion, and it's always worked that way. Devoted adults steer the choir, and the school bolsters it with logistical support.
Jareau Hall, a Corcoran senior, directs the choir with Corcoran graduate Robert Jackson, 20, a volunteer. Tyquan Horton, 19, who graduated from Corcoran in 2000 and attends Onondaga Community College, returns to sing with his old choir.
"We're just dedicated, I guess, after being here and being part of gospel choir. We feel it's necessary to carry on," Horton said.
