February Comp Store Sales Guidance Raised 

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Big Lots, Inc. today reported sales of $1,138.2 million for the thirteen weeks ended February 2, 2002, a 2.4% increase compared to sales of $1,111.9 million for the fourteen week fourth quarter of 2000. Sales for the fifty-two week fiscal year ended February 2, 2002 were $3,433.3 million, a 4.8% increase compared to sales of $3,277.1 million for the fifty-three week year of 2000. Excluding the impact of the 53rd week, sales were up 8.0% for the fourth quarter and 6.6% for the year.
