Article: Canadian Wheat Board Accounting Practices OK, Improves Needed.

In a one-time, special audit of the Canadian Wheat Board, the Auditor General of Canada found that the day-to-day management systems and practices the corporation maintains to optimize returns to grain farmers is appropriate, but there were four significant deficiencies in the strategic management area.

Auditor General Sheila Fraser, in a news conference, said that unless addressed, the deficiencies could have an impact on the CWB's ability in the future to continue optimizing returns to grain producers.
