ABIX via COMTEX) -- Toll Holdings, the Australian transportation and logistics company, has increased its profit by 45 per cent. In the six months to 31 December 2001, the company earned $A1.028bn in revenue, including $A170m from Finemores, a transport firm it acquired in 2001. Managing director, Paul Little, indicated on 27 February 2002, that the company was expected to achieve pre-tax earnings greater than the 15 per cent increase on the previous year's earnings.
