NEW YORK -- Buyers at WSA will get a glimpse at some of the early results of a major strategic shakeup underway at Dexter Shoe Co.
Headed since September 2001 by Jim Issler, President and Chief Operating Officer of H.H. Brown -- a sister company of Dexter, both of which are owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Inc. -- the firm is in the midst of an overhaul intended to sharpen product offerings, improve relationships with current retail partners and revive the brand's marketing.
Issler does not hold a titled post at Dexter, but his appearance at the helm signals an attempt by Buffet to restore luster and vitality to the 45-year-old company, ...
