WASHINGTON--A strong pitch by the Europe's EADS [EAD] on tankers based on modified versions of Airbus A330 commercial jetliners could lead the Air Force to ask Congress to amend legislation clearing the service to enter exclusive negotiations with Boeing [BA] for aerial refueling planes based on the 767 passenger aircraft, according to military sources.
"If they wow our socks off, then we would have to go back to the Hill and get the language adjusted to allow us to include them in lease negotiations," one senior military official told Defense Daily International on Monday. "We're now in talks with Boeing, but we are very interested to ...
