Congressman Edward J. Markey's call for a "blue ribbon panel" by the Brain Injury Association (BIA) on ride safety must include experts well versed in the biomechanics of theme park rides, according to Bret Lovejoy, president IAAPA.
"If Congressman Markey is really interested in roller coaster safety he should talk to the experts who know about the real science behind roller coaster design," said Lovejoy. "I am happy to provide experts with decades of experience in designing, building, maintaining and operating roller coasters and other theme park rides."
