AZUSA - A national online supermarket is setting up shop in the San Gabriel Valley.
HomeGrocer.com, a Kirkland, Wash.-based e-commerce firm, has signed a long-term sublease for 100,000 square feet of warehouse distribution space at 1344 W. Foothill Blvd., just north of the Foothill Freeway in Azusa.
Serving the eastern Los Angeles County area, the facility will be located in a strategic spot from which to make deliveries within a 45-mile region, officials said.
And for Azusa, HomeGrocer.com could bring a windfall of sales tax revenue into the city, whose officials envision obtaining up to $300,000 ...
