A photograph of Atiba Wright with his late father Mateen is among the Grant High junior's cherished possessions.
The picture, as well as Mateen's crystal chess set and a bottle of his favorite cologne, are among the mementos in a shrine in Wright's bedroom. A pocket knife handed down through four generations and a brass shield of his father's fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, are displayed prominently among candles and the Koran.
