It's a daily source of confusion in an industry that employs more than 25,000 nationwide and nearly 1,500 in Southern California.
Joe Greatswing is introduced as a PGA professional and almost immediately will be asked something about play on the pro tour.
Roger Gunn, teaching professional at Moorpark's Tierra Rejada Golf Course, has the bottom-line answer for that one. It's an old joke in the industry but also way too accurate for too many of the golf professionals who make up the world's largest working sports organization:
