Canoga Park's Josh Geiger rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown to lead the Hunters to a 34-21 Sunset Six League victory over host Poly of Sun Valley in the league opener for both teams.
Geiger averaged 12 yards per carry and scored a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 57-yard run to extend the Hunters' lead to 34-13 with 7:18 left in the game.
Poly (0-6, 0-1) was paced by Marlon Goode, who carried 16 times for 124 yards and set up the Parrots' third-quarter touchdown - rushing eight times for 50 yards on a 16-play, 80-yard drive. The scoring drive was capped by Hodari Terry's 1- yard plunge, his second score of the game.
