NORTHRIDGE - In just nine months, California State University, Northridge, has raised more than half of $11 million needed to outfit campus buildings damaged by the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, officials said Thursday.

Boosted by a recent $800,000 donation from a La Puente couple interested in using nutrition to fight disease, the university has raised nearly $7 million in cash and in-kind donations since launching its CSUN Rising campaign in February. The university hopes to reach its goal by June 30.
