Ninth-seeded San Fernando High amassed 515 yards while defeating eighth-seeded Eagle Rock 40-20 Thursday afternoon in a City Invitational playoff opener at Eagle Rock.
Ramon Perry, William Lang, Will Germain, Terrance Calloway and Bobby Stanley scored touchdowns for the Tigers (6-5). Stanley rushed for 138 yards on 13 carries with touchdown runs of 3 and 72 yards. His 72-yarder came one play after Eagle Rock's 12-play drive to open the third quarter stalled at San Fernando's 28-yard line.
Quarterback Ruben Nevarez completed 9 of 13 passes for 226 yards with touchdowns of 53 and 17 yards to Perry and Lang.
