That's the organizing principle behind ``What's Cooking?'' It's also ever-evident in the upfront experience of the film, which - though impressively organized by director Gurinder Chadha (``Bhaji on the Beach'') and often well-acted by the ultimate diverse ensemble - can't help but feel schematic from beginning to end.
