Thanksgiving isn't just traumatic for descendants of the white Anglo Protestants who invented it.
That's the organizing principle behind ``What's Cooking?'' It's also ever-evident in the upfront experience of the film, which - though impressively organized by director Gurinder Chadha (``Bhaji on the Beach'') and often well-acted by the ultimate diverse ensemble - can't help but feel schematic from beginning to end.
Plot lines that resemble every other home-for-the-holidays farce - including Jodie Foster's 1995 film of that title - don't help things to unfold in what you'd call an organic way, either. And this ...
