ANAHEIM - It might not be do-or-die for the Mighty Ducks, it just seemed that way as they battled the Kings at The Pond on Wednesday night.
There certainly was a playoff atmosphere - both on and off the ice. The sellout crowd of 17,174 - just the fifth of the year for the Ducks - were throughly entertained as the local rivals fought late into the third period tied 2-2 in a wide-open game that featured more than its share of physical play.
However, through two periods the game was the continuation of a distrubing trend for the Ducks, who jumped out to an early lead, only to lose it.
