FRIENDS of tragic Rachel Whitear last night revealed that she was injected with heroin by her boyfriend - and how, incredibly, she saw it as an act of love.
The drug sessions took place in a squalid communal room in a house occupied by other junkies. They watched as Luke Fitzgerald, 27, plunged a syringe into the arm of a dazed, compliant Rachel.
Fitzgerald was publicly blamed last week by 21-year-old Rachel's middle class parents, mother Pauline and stepfather Michael Holcroft, for introducing their daughter to the drug that would ultimately kill her.
