On October 28, 2000, TLR Adivsory Editor Leo Hamalian was honored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union for his thirty year's of service as editor of Ararat, an Armenian-American literary quarterly. During his term as editor, Leo has encouraged great numbers of young Armenian-American authors who, typically, had their first publications in Ararat, and then went on to successful careers outside its pages.
