After a short holiday at the Emerson Inn & Spa in upstate New York, guests will feel as if they spent the weekend at a close friend's country house. Upon arrival, the tree-lined driveway leads guests to the parking lot, from where they walk to the front entrance by way of a wraparound porch. As they approach, the front door seems to mysteriously open by itself. But in actuality, a vigilant bellhop listens behind the closed front door and waits to welcome arriving guests properly.
