Councilman Hal Bernson's suggestion to have George W. Bush overturn the LAPD consent decree should be filed under political grandstanding. I'm sure Bush has bigger fish to fry in his first few months of office.
Bernson should realize that the consent decree is a slap to the face of the police officers on the street because of their slapping the faces of the citizens of Los Angeles.
