Former Cayuga County Sheriff Peter J. Pinckney's defense lawyer made it clear last month: Pinckney will withdraw his guilty plea to three felonies if the presiding judge orders even a single day of incarceration.
James McGraw of Syracuse recently reiterated his statements and vowed again to withdraw the plea at sentencing April 9 if state Supreme Court Justice Thomas M. Van Strydonck orders more than probation or a conditional discharge.
