Novation, Irving, Texas, has released its first-quarter bid and launch schedules for 2001.
Novation, with $12 billion in annual purchasing volume, was created in January 1998 when two group purchasing organizations decided to merge their contracting operations.
The two GPOs are VHA Inc., also in Irving, and University HealthSystem Consortium, Oak Brook, Ill. They remain independent in matters other than contracting.
Novation has had a policy of letting prior VHA and UHC contracts expire before replacing them with its consolidated versions. Thus some products listed below are already under contract either to VHA or UHC, and those vendors will be ...
