What chance now is there to bring Angola's civil war to an end?
AFTER months of drought, rain fell on Luanda, Angola's capital, last weekend, filling pot-holes and flooding drains. After decades of civil war, Jonas Savimbi, the country's reviled 67-year-old rebel leader, was shot and killed by government troops on February 22nd. To prove it, pictures of his bullet-riddled body were televised and splashed on front pages.
