From where I was sitting, Monster was of the variety that is enough to have you screaming for all the wrong reasons. Annoyance, tedium and sheer bafflement were all emotions threatening to come to the surface as the bizarre collided with the plain cheesy.
Worst of all, frustration at a great idea gone awry was enough to have you tearing your hair out in lumps at this bio-opera about Mary Shelley and the experiences that led to her writing of Frankenstein.
