SAN FRANCISCO - The Angels wasted two perfectly good pitching performances in the first two games of the series against the San Francisco Giants, but Thursday all they wasted was about three hours of a beautiful, sun-splashed afternoon at Pac Bell Park.
After Angels starters Pat Rapp and Scott Schoeneweis pitched well in one-run losses on Tuesday and Wednesday, Ismael Valdes had his worst start of the season in a 10-4 loss before 40,418. Valdes gave up eight runs and eight hits in 3 1/3 innings, his shortest outing of the season.
