Add Ron Dayne's name to the roll call of Rose Bowl legends.

The Wisconsin tailback was named Player of the Game after rushing for 246 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries in the Badgers' 38-31 victory over UCLA on Friday.

The four touchdowns tied the modern-day Rose Bowl record, shared by USC's Sam Cunningham and UCLA's Eric Ball. Cunningham did it against Ohio State in 1973; Ball scored four in 1986 against Iowa.

Dayne's yardage total fell 1 yard short of the record set by USC's Charles White in 1980 against Ohio State.

Wisconsin's in-your-face running attack was a priority in the Rose Bowl game ...
