Quartz Hill High coach Maury Cauchon soon figures to know a lot more about how good his girls' soccer team is. The defending Golden League champion Rebels (6-4-3, 1-0) have overcome a poor start to win five of their last seven, including an 8-0 win over Antelope Valley last week.
Now is the time for Quartz Hill to let the rest of the league know it is the team to beat. It travels to Palmdale today at 6 p.m. and host Highland on Thursday at 6 p.m. Both matches figure to be more competitive than the Antelope Valley encounter, when sophomore Kellie Cox and senior Julie Gold each scored twice.
