Burbank officials have injected themselves into the Glendale City Council election in an effort to ``educate'' voters on airport expansion so they will back candidates opposed to increased air traffic.
The April 6 election could be a major turning point in the 10-year battle over Burbank Airport because a majority of 13 candidates are voicing strong support for curfews and flight restrictions.
Seizing the opportunity, Burbank officials, using taxpayer money, are stepping up their efforts to get Glendale voters to care about their jet-noise problem.
