Barrels of peanuts and a Mobil gas pump greet you as you enter the Original Roadhouse Grill in West Hills, this area's first outlet of a chain steak, chicken and ribs eatery that recently settled into the old Don Ricardo's site at the Fallbrook Mall.
Patrons are encouraged to throw their peanut shells on the floor, so you know immediately that there are no pretenses whatsoever that this is - in any way - a classy eating place.
It's pure Americana. Roadhouse Americana.
