It figures to be a long track season for the Marmonte League girls.
The distances promise to be the league's showcase with sophomores Laura Jakosky of Agoura, Jaclyn Pedersen of Royal and Kelley Hess of Thousand Oaks.
Jakosky could be destined to become the latest in the long line of Agoura standouts. In cross country, Jakosky won the Southern Section Division II title to join former Agoura runners Deena Drossin, a two-time U.S. national cross country champion, and Arizona senior Amy Skieresz, a seven-time NCAA champion, as Southern Section champions.
