Ventura County supervisors made good Tuesday on their threat to file suit against the 21,615-home Newhall Ranch, unanimously approving what even their attorney acknowledges is a long-shot court action.
A week after Los Angeles County approved the project, the Ventura County officials approved asking a county Superior Court to grant them joint approval authority over Newhall Ranch and to declare the project's environmental impact report inadequate.
