In an area already known for its unique lifestyle, with houses built on stilts and erected between rock formations in the canyons near Simi Valley, people generally don't bat an eyelash at seeing peafowl wandering around the roads and gravel driveways.
The peacocks, peahens and their chicks are just another aspect making the area far from an ordinary place to live.
But recently, the colorful birds have divided this suburban community.
Almost all of the people who live here say the peafowl are wonderful to look at and give the area an added layer of charm. And they all agree the birds ...
