Rain halted Westlake High on Wednesday. On Thursday, it was Beverly Hills.
Playing in its third consecutive section championship match, the Warriors once again came out on the wrong end. In 1997 and 1998, the losses were in Division II. This time, Beverly Hills used an overwhelming advantage in doubles to take a 10-8 victory to win the Division III title at the Westlake Swim and Tennis Center.
The Normans (17-4) took eight of nine matches in doubles, including the clinching match won by David Nguyen and Anthony Pham 7-6 against Westlake's No. 3 team Matt Pardee and Aaron Bert.
