Deena Drossin does not doubt she belongs in the World Track and Field Championships this time around.

Drossin, 26, passed on the opportunity in 1997, unsure she was physically or mentally prepared for that level of competition.

``It was difficult decision, but I didn't look back,'' said Drossin, who placed third at the U.S. national championships this summer and now lives in Alamosa, Colo.

``I knew my best years were ahead of me. I have a lot more experience and I feel I am ready to compete on an international level.''
