For the Los Angeles-based theater group Will & Company, a play is the best vehicle for exploring the meaning of the Spanish classic two-book novel ``Don Quixote.''
To be performed Saturday at the Palmdale Playhouse, ``Don Quixote de la Mancha'' stars veteran television actor Henry Darrow as ``Quixote'' author Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. The play explores the relationship of the writer with the anachronistic knight he creates, Don Quixote, to determine who ultimately controls the story.
The play opens with Cervantes in a Spanish prison as he begins work on the second book about Don Quixote. As he writes, ...
