ALLIED-SIGNAL TO PROVIDE POINTING SYSTEM FOR HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Allied-Signal Inc. (NYSE: ALD) today announced that its Bendix Guidance Systems Division developed a significant portion of the system that will point and stabilize the Hubble Space Telescope after its scheduled launch tomorrow.
Bendix Guidance Systems, headquartered in Teterboro, N.J., has provided a significant portion of the pointing control system under a contract with Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, which built the spacecraft for the Hubble Space Telescope.
