The Penn basketball players were among the 2,108 fans at the Palestra on Thursday when Yale defeated Princeton, 76-60, and earned the right to meet the Quakers in an Ivy League playoff game Saturday night at Lafayette. At stake is the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
"We'll be ready to go, and they'll be ready to go," Penn guard Dave Klatsky said. "It doesn't get much better than this. It's for the Ivy League championship, and there's not much else to say."
Penn (24-6) defeated Princeton, 64-48, on Tuesday to create a three-way tie atop league standings. All three squads finished with 11-3 records in league play.
