She has said it herself many times. Andrea Dworkin is not a fun feminist. She is angry, bitter, argumentative and fat. Yes, fat. How dare she presume to speak for women?
She's not gorgeous and earnest like feminist Naomi Wolf, nor elegant like Gloria Steinem, nor spin-savvy like anti-feminist Camille Paglia. Why pay attention to a battle-scarred radical feminist? Hasn't Dworkin said it all already?
Didn't she make her point in 1974 in her first book, "Woman Hating,'' when she argued gender was a social construct? Or in 1988's "Intercourse,'' when she said women were demeaned by penetrative sex? Or in her anti-pornography crusade, when she argued ...
