AHEM! Now that I have your attention, can we talk about all the unintended baggage this word - er, sound - carries?
March is upon us, a month that marks the confluence of the winter cold/flu season and the spring allergy season.
As such, it's a good time to challenge the assumption that throat-clearing signifies impatience, irritation or implicit disbelief.
