Wisconsin companies exported about $10.5 billion in goods last year, a decline of about $20 million from 2000, the state Department of Commerce said.
Exports to countries other than Canada and Mexico rose 5.7 percent from the previous year.
Sales to China grew $142 million last year, an increase of more than 80 percent. The increase makes China the state's seventh-largest trading partner after Canada, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
