When Anne-Sophie Mutter performs the world premiere of Andre Previn's first violin concerto today with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall, it marks her first visit here since she canceled a November appearance with the Trondheim Soloists.
"I flew to New York just after Sept. 11,'' Mutter said recently, on the phone from her home near Munich. "I was scheduled to come to Boston next, but in that climate, I didn't want to be away from my family long. I hated to cancel that trip, but it just didn't feel right at the time.
