The Kiwanis Club of Santa Susana is enlisting the help of Rotary, Lions, Elks and other community organization members in raising $10,000 to fight child abuse.
``I think the project would be a good image builder for Simi Valley,'' said Kiwanis Club member Jere Sinclair, an organizer of the Build A Mile project. ``A whole community working together for something like that? I don't see how anyone would refuse to get involved.''
Build A Mile supporters propose selling 10,000 paper ``bricks'' for $1 each, which will then be used to create a symbolic ``path to a better world'' during a Kiwanis Club fair ...
