Article: PUBLIC FORUM : SAG REBUTS CRITIC OVER HONORING REAGAN.(EDITORIAL)(Editorial)(Letter to the Editor)

For the record, I would like to clear up a few errors of fact, as well as some dubious assertions, contained in Paul Vaughn's article (``SAG's deafening silence; the Screen Actors Guild should do the right thing and honor Reagan,'' Opinions, March 17).

Vaughn asks why former President Reagan has not been honored, with interest and some concern. It is our policy to avoid public discussion of the sort Vaughn has initiated, since speculation about why one person is not selected may cause embarrassment to those whose records have been honored, but I take his suggestions seriously and will treat it seriously in the future.
