BINGO! Caramba! Hispanic Republicans won big on primary election night throughout California.

Eunice Guzman won the GOP nomination for the state's 32nd Senate District. Ruben Barrales, running for controller, became the first Republican Hispanic to be nominated for state office in more than 120 years.

But it is in state Assembly contests that Hispanic Republicans truly showed strength. Five Hispanic Republicans were nominated in Democratic-leaning districts to run in November.
