``I'M bored. There's nothing to do.''

I can hear it now. Summer vacation has arrived and the kids will be home for three months. Three months with nothing to do. Three months with no homework, no job, no responsibilities. Life is tough. Fighting boredom is one of the hardest tasks these kids will ever have to face. Poor things. So why don't I feel more sympathetic?

As a full-time mom with a part-time job, I wish I had this problem. Can you imagine three months with nothing to do? Someone else will work to earn the money to pay for your food, shelter and clothing. Even your entertainment costs will be covered.
